Human Resource Management and Industrial Relations for Small Business
OVERVIEW:
Increasingly the economy of Barbados relies on small businesses to generate increased levels of employment; yet small business owners and managers are not always well equipped with the skills and knowledge to effectively manage their employees given the accepted Human Resource and Industrial Relations practices and laws in place in Barbados.
This new BIMAP course is designed to provide small business owners, managers and key employees with a good insight into the regulations and practices regarding Human Resource Management & Industrial Relations. Special emphasis will be placed on Performance Management, Employee Development and Recruitment and selected aspects of Labour Legislation in Barbados.

1. Recruitment & Selection 2. Managing Performance 3. Training & Development of Staff 4. Introduction to Industrial relations: Discipline, Severence, Employment Regulations.
