 With 35 years of experience in delivering customized in-company training in Barbados and throughout the regional Caribbean, BIMAP’s Short-term Training Division has established itself as an industry leader.
The Institute’s customized training affords its clients a great deal of flexibility in scheduling or selecting a combination of courses for a complete training programme. This training is ideal for corporations
that need large groups of their employees trained in a specific area and with a specific time frame.
Headed by Mrs. Monica Best, this Division has been responding to increased demand and since relocating to Barbados Technological Training Centre located at Building #3 Harbour Industrial Park, thousands of participants from both government and private sector organizations have been trained in
key areas of Management and Computer technology. In-company courses held in Barbados are presented at the client's work place, a mutually acceptable location or alternatively, can be delivered in the classroom setting
of the Institute’s spacious, air-conditioned facility with 3 lecture-style classrooms, 3 computer labs and 1 library.
In addition, BIMAP has developed special short-term seminars to help business persons manage the pressure on their time more effectively.
Within recent years the Short-Term Training Division has diversified from its traditional training, to include individual IT certification courses such as MCSE, MCSA, Network +, A + and the Microsoft Office Specialist. In addition BIMAP is also a certified testing centre for these certifications.
BIMAP is a recognized training partner of the TVET Council (Technical & Vocational & Education Training) and the Institute advises all of its members and local clients to inquire about how the TVET Council can assist in meeting their company’s training objectives.
