BIMAP's Long-term Training division offers a range of individualized business training opportunities to Barbadians and other CARICOM nationals and it is the one division with which BIMAP has become synonymous. Over the years literally thousands of individuals have matriculated through this department, by the means of the general certificate courses, diploma programme, and seminars. The qualifications earned from BIMAP are accredited and exemptions are offered to former students applying to major universities and colleges locally and internationally.

In the year 1998 BIMAP and the University of Surrey entered a strategic alliance through which the Surrey MBA and subsequently the MSc were offered. Most recently the department introduced a One-year Certificate Programme to individuals choosing to specialize in a particular business area. Long-Term Training's curriculum continues to evolve to ensure that the courses offered remain relevant to our changing business environment.
